About Tsugi Tsugi provides consultancy, research and development services to the video games industry. We specialize in smart tools and engines that make your artists more efficient and offer them more creative options. Typical clients include game studios, middleware companies, post-production houses and freelance professionals R&D Audio Programmer As part of our R&D team, you will design systems that will be used by major Japanese and Western game studios across their titles. You will also work on our own products such as GameSynth, DataSpace and their successors. Position Description: Research Assistant Professor/Post-Doctoral Position We invite applications for a Research Assistant Professor/Post-Doctoral position in the area of acoustical signal processing in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The position will support our smart water system project (http://smartuws.ust.hk) and the candidates are expected to:
* have completed his/her Ph.D. degree in ECE, or related areas;
* have strong analytical skills in signal processing or communications;
* have performed research in the area of acoustical signal processing;
* have some experience with practical water acoustic systems;
* have good English communication skills (oral and written);
* be able to work independently, as well as in a team;
* have an interest in project coordination and leadership; and
* be enthusiastic about pushing the state-of-the-art.
The location of the position is in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong and you will be working with a team of faculty including Profs. Vincent Lau, Matthew McKay, Ross Murch and Dani Palomar. The position is renewable, based on mutual interest and on availability of funding.
