Speech Recognition Researcher

The Sony European R&D Center in Stuttgart, Germany is currently looking for a

Senior Speech Recognition Specialist

The successful applicant will perform R&D activities in the field of automatic speech recognition as part of an international (Germany, Japan, also US) research team. There are opportunities in all sub-fields of ASR, like acoustic modeling, language modeling, search and research on methods to reduce the footprint of ASR systems, among others.

Our environment is flexible and the working conditions in our group combine an open and vibrant atmosphere of an academic institution with the advantages of an established, stable large company. We offer a competitive salary, 30 days vacation, flexible working times - and there are those tiny things like conference visits for all group members (even without publication), free coffee for everyone, table tennis/kicker rooms and showers for those who cycle to work.

We are looking for researchers with a background in automatic speech recognition (like acoustic modeling, search, language modeling). A Ph.D. level is preferred, and English language skills (both oral and written) are required. You should be proficient in C++/C and Linux/Unix, and experience with Kaldi is an asset.

The contract is initially limited to two years. After this time, if the applicant blends in well with the team, we are aiming to change the contract into a permanent contract.

Please send your application to our local HR specialist:
